Upon graduating from Bocconi University in Milan in 1984, Paolo Basilico began his career at Banca Manusardi (now Banca Fideuram) and subsequently worked at Mediobanca.

In 1991, he joined Giubergia Warburg, where he served as CEO from 1992 to 1998 and was also a member of Warburg London’s European Equity Management Committee. In 1999, he founded Kairos Group, of which he is CEO, with the aim of offering an alternative course in the vast asset management industry.

From 2009 to early 2013, he served on the Executive Committee of Assogestioni. Through Kairos Group, in 2005, Basilico established the Fondazione Oliver Twist ONLUS, a charitable foundation to help disadvantaged children in Italy, of which he is President. In addition, he is a patron of ARK, an international charitable organization concerned with improving the lives of children around the world.

Fabio Bariletti

A Best in Class alumnus of Rome’s La Sapienza University, he joined the company from Citco Fund Advisors in New York, where he worked in the 90’s. At Citco he was responsible for the research and management activity of the multi-manager business, which counted around $1Bio of AUM and offices in New York, London and Hong Kong. Since 2000 he has been in charge of building the multi-manager business of Kairos and from 2009 to 2016 he was the General Manager of the Group. A well known figure in the European asset management industry, he has received several awards in his career.

Chief Investment Officer - Discretionary Mandates

Graduated in Economics at the Bocconi University of Milan, in 1992 he began his career as an analyst at Solofin SIM - Credito Agrario Bresciano Group and later, after a two-year experience at ING Sviluppo Gestioni, he became the Ducato's Fund Manager Management (MPS Group). From 1999 to 2001 he was Head of Asset Allocation at MPS Asset Management SGR and from 2001 to 2014 he held the position of Chief Investment Officer at Intesa Sanpaolo Private Banking. In Pictet & Cie since 2014 as Chief Investment Officer - Wealth Management Europe, he joined the Kairos Group in September 2017 and holds the position of Chief Investment Officer - Discretionary Portfolio Management.

Guido Brera

Guido Maria Brera
Director and Head of Investments for Kairos Partners SGR

A graduate of Rome’s La Sapienza University and co-founder of the Kairos Group, he came to the company from Giubergia Warburg, where he was in charge of proprietary trading. He also worked for more than three years at Fineco SIM, where he managed by fund Cisalpino Bilanciato and then the fund Cisalpino Indice, the number-one Italian equity fund in 1996.

Michele Gesualdi

Chief Investment Officer of Multi-Manager business

Michele Gesualdi is the Chief Investment Officer of the Kairos Multi-Manager business. After obtaining a M.Sc. in Economics and Financial Markets (summa cum laude) from the Bocconi University in Milan, he joined Citco Fund Advisors in 2000 working in both London and New York. He joined Kairos in 2003 as Head of research in the London office and became a portfolio manager and member of the Investment Committee in 2005. In 2008 he became a Senior Partner of the firm and finally assumed responsibility for the Multi Manager business in 2012.

Stefano Prosperi

Deputy CEO Kairos Investment Management Limited

Stefano he is the Deputy-CEO of Kairos Investment Management Limited, the London branch of the Group, specialising in managing single-manager and multi-manager alternative funds and he is responsible for the Group International Distribution.  After obtaining a degree in Economics and Business from Rome’s La Sapienza University, he began his career in 1998 as analyst with Citco Fund Advisors in New York, a company managing multi-manager alternative funds and solutions. In 2000 he opened Citco London office as head of research for European Markets and in 2002 he returned to New York to head Citco Fund Advisors. He joined Kairos in early 2003 to open and manage the New York office of the Group, in 2006 he opened and ran the Kairos Hong Kong office and in 2008 he moved back to head the New York office. During this period he was part of the investment committee responsible for the multi-manager business. In 2012 he moved to Kairos London to run the branch of the Group and develop its Global distribution.
