Kairos Partners awarded for its long-short strategies at the 2022 Private Banking Awards

21 November 2022

The Private Banking Awards 2022 were held on Friday 18 November in Milan, at Palazzo Mezzanotte.

Kairos Partners SGR won in the “alternative investments” category. An award to the “strong bets” of 2022 with which Kairos stood out in the complicated context of the European equity market, thanks to long-short strategies able to generate idiosyncratic returns.

The award was collected by Marcello Sallusti, CIO of Kairos Investment Management Ltd who has long-standing expertise in managing long-short strategies and who commented as follows:

“2022, characterized by a very difficult macroeconomic scenario, was a favorable year for long/short strategies based on a bottom-up approach. Volatility and dispersion of returns are in fact fertile ground for these investment strategies. It is in these market moments that the long-short manager ideally takes advantage of the price dislocation and the significant contraction of equity multiples, reinvesting the income generated by the short portfolio in the long one and preserving the invested capital. A choice that has proved successful for us. We are very proud of receiving this award.”

The event, organized by Blue Financial Communication, rewarded the best professionals and companies that have been able to make a difference in the increasingly competitive and challenging private banking market.
