KIS Smart Bond 03/2028 is a bond fund that invests in fixed income securities with a maximum duration of three years. The fund aims to optimize returns. The portfolio will be invested up to 100% in government debt securities (government bonds or similar) or corporate bonds, with a focus on Europe, according to ESG criteria.
Financial markets have begun to price in the diverging pace at which central banks—namely the Federal Reserve and the European Central Bank—are expected to act in the near future, in response to an economic, political, and financial environment that appears set to differ significantly across the two sides of the Atlantic.
While the government bond market has already factored in these scenarios, the euro area corporate bond segment continues to offer untapped value. Starting from still-attractive yield levels, it stands to benefit further from an environment of declining interest rates, driven by ECB policy.
This is a fixed-maturity product with a decreasing duration and maturities concentrated within a narrow time window (resulting in initially low and progressively declining interest rate risk). The fund’s very simple structure helps to minimize transaction costs while also allowing for high portfolio diversification.
The fund aims to achieve capital appreciation over a 3-year time horizon. The fund is characterized by an active management style that is focused on absolute performance, without any reference to a benchmark.
The offering period is closed.
